Juke Joint In The Woods Records Artists

Here at JJITW Records we are thrilled to celebrate the music of our good friends who have contributed so much to the modern alt Blues scene.

If you are looking for some fantastic music from some talented up and comings look no further than:

    The Curse Of K.K. Hammond

    Slide Guitarist and Singer-songwriter

K.K. Hammond is a slide guitarist and singer-songwriter. She takes her influence from the Delta Blues players of the 1930s, the roots music of Appalachia and its ancestors. Fusing the vibe of the swamp with a sprinkle of Southern gothic horror. K.K. writes traditionally inspired roots music but twists it her own new way for a unique and untapped sound that appeals to a whole new modern audience as well as traditional blues fans.

K.K.’s biggest success to date arose from the release of her debut album Death Roll Blues in March 2023. The vinyl and CD run sold out via pre-order prior to the album’s official release date. Upon its release, it hit the #1 spot in the UK iTunes Blues chart and subsequently bagged another #1 spot in the US iTunes Blues chart. It also exceeded expectations breaking into the #12 spot in the mainstream iTunes charts (across all genres) and a #18 spot in the UK iTunes mainstream chart. It was also the #3 best seller of all time for an iTunes Blues pre-sale.

U.K. born, K.K. took an interest in guitar, Americana and the Blues from an early age when watching her father play flamenco guitar. She spent some years exploring the back roads of the USA eventually settling in the remote, forested English Countryside, where she works her farm. A self-professed hermit living in an isolated spot in the woods, K.K. enjoys exploring the wilderness surrounding her home to seek inspiration for her song writing. In her spare time she pursues her interests in herpetology and contemporary bone taxidermy.

    Van Tastik

    The Fallen Reverend

The Fallen Reverend VAN TASTIK is an American Artist who has been around the world, through hell, and back again.

Beyond that bohemian past, VAN TASTIK was awarded Best Classic Rock Act of 2021 by WigWam Radio and made appearances on platforms from the BBC Live to Sniester Rock Festival.

Following successful Portugal and UK tours in 2022, and a sold out EU tour with Cam Cole in 2023 the artist tripled their following on social media - which has continued to rise as they’ve announced appearances with Big US artists and on big name EU festivals throughout 2023 all whilst teasing the release of their debut Album.

VAN TASTIK’s performances are pure passion and energy. Their songs celebrate the hardships of life creating familiarity and an unmistakable atmosphere with humor, crowd participation, hollerin’ and foot stompin’ like some forgotten Pentecostal travellin’ church service.
